Tournament Story

Tom Cosenzi was a dedicated husband, father business man, and community leader. Tom was the type of man people gravitated towards and wanted to be in the presence of. In February 2007 Tom was diagnosed with a stage 4 Malignant Glioblastoma Brain Tumor. Life expectancy for someone with this diagnosis is usually 8-10 months. Dr. Patrick Wen and his team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute offered Tom the hope, support and resources that he and his family needed to fight. Tom courageously fought for 2 and ½ years before losing his battle. His strength and courage to live for his family was remarkable. Tom never once took pity on himself instead gave 100% to fighting this horrific disease as he did with everything in his life. Tom was active in giving back to others and had an impact on everyone's life that he touched. We are carrying on his legacy and through generous sponsorships, donations, and continued support we can give back to Dana Farber so one day others will have more treatment options and that one day there will be a cure for this devastating disease that took Tom's life.
